Sexuality
[edit]Regarding the "gay rumor," is there any truth to this, or just speculation? Not that it truly matters either way, but it's an interesting bit, if valid.Almost every celebrity is rumored to be a homosexual, so it is highly unlikely that Adam Sessler is gay.
I haven't heard anything about it. If everyone who was rumored to be gay was in actuality a homosexual, you and I wouldn't be here and the birth rate would have collapsed eons ago. Until further notice, it seems as if its yet another sexuality rumor started for some indeterminate reason...
Charles M. Reed 08:31, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
He looks/acts more like a stereotype libertarian than anything.
It's unlikely that Adam Sessler is homosexual. In one episode of a video blog hosted by former G4 celebrity Laura Swisher, Adam drops by with an Asian girlfriend. I suppose she could be a decoy meant to disguise his true sexuality, a'la Eva Braun. If that was the case, he would have given her a lot more exposure than the video blog of a former co-worker, seen by a few hundred people at most. M.Neko
Wait, what? Eva Braun? Anonymous —Preceding unsigned comment added by 159.33.175.12 (talk) 22:34, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
M.Neko is correct. The podcast discussed above is Weezy and the Swish. While I agree that she could be used as a decoy, I personally find it highly unlikely for him to be gay. Still, until an official statement is made by Adam, it will simply remain a mystery.
Diametes Jackson 04:33, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
For whatever it's worth, during the "Adam's Birthday" episode, a cake is rolled out and one of the male interns pops out and begins dancing. When Adam asks guest host Blair Butler why he's getting a cake with a guy in it, she asks "Aren't you gay?" and he flatly denies it by putting his head down and saying no. - 66.93.144.171 05:34, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Ya, well since there is no proof of actuality at the current time to this I am removing any and all mentions of it from the article. The part that states he may be gay makes it sound like he is but denies it. I am removing it for this reason. Crashedata
Never mind, someone beat me to it. Crashedata
http://gaygamer.net/2008/02/gdc_08_sessler_straight_allies.html He was at a gaygamer meeting so Im guessing hes gay? Hojima (talk) 18:45, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
According to an interview, he's married.--24.154.115.176 09:02, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
yeah, i just noticed his ring.--
Twin Brother
[edit]While I am not the one who put it here in the first place, I am putting the mention of his twin brother back on the page. It absolutely IS acceptable and notable enough to warrant inclusion. Search through Wikipedia for various celebrities and you'll find PLENTY of articles that mention the person's sibling situation ("only child," or "the oldest of five," or "youngest of three," etc.). If that information is notable enough for inclusion (which it is), certainly having a twin is just as notable, if not MORE notable. Twins aren't the most common thing in the world, and I certainly didn't know he has a twin brother until I read it here (I never saw the episode in which he appeared). The information ought to exist somewhere on Wikipedia, and since his twin brother is not notable enough to deserve his OWN page, it belongs here. - Josh
I guess I missed it as well. An identical twin, I presume? --AWF
- I don't think so. According to Salvag, he said this when I tried to put it up there last year:
(08:42), (September 24, 2005) Salvag (revert, this page is about Adam only)
You obviously havent seen the April Fools Episode where Adam 2.0 appears. Adam 2.0 is actually Adam Sessler's younger brother Jonathan. -Giana Moose Genova (ADAM SESSLER RULES!)

"Credibility as reviewer"
[edit]The last paragraph is kinda stupid, for two reasons, its just plain stupid for obvious reasons, and he doesn't write all of the reviews, he probably doesn't he write most of them. If no one changes this, well, I'll just have to do some research and edit this page myself!
- Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb are listed as executive producers in the show's credits, I believe. They have also stated that yes, they do write their own material. BlazeHedgehog 09:25, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- They do NOT, however, write all the material. Further, the review itself on the website is not credited to Sessler. Additionally, where is the citation for this supposed controversy over his credibility? It's a non-issue only of importance to nitpickers. Shouldn't be here.
- Actually from what I have read, they DO write ALL there own material, as well, if you did not know this already, Adam Sessler is actually one of the original creators of the show. It was his idea basically. Crashedata 01:56, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think they write most of the reviews, maybe some of them. Simply because they have all these other people working there and I doubt they'd have time to write them all on their own. Also, if you go on the website the reviews are often credited to some other behind-the-scenes person, and they're almost word-for-word what Adam / Morgan said on the show. 72.161.85.123 (talk) 19:30, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Out of date photo
[edit]In what decade did Adam have that much hair? All kidding aside, that photo barely looks like him anymore. Plus, he looks rather waxy. It needs to be updated. --Navstar 04:44, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- New photo added. Enough male pattern baldness for ya? ˉˉanetode╦╩ 05:58, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yeesh. The new one is... horrifying, to say the least. It's very blotchy, so a different shot may be appreciated. --AWF
- Honestly now. It's been up long enough to find a suitable replacement.
- If there is a free-use photo of superior quality, upload it and replace the one currently used. You could even try to contact Mr. Sessler or the G4 press department to see if they would license a kit photo under CC or the GFDL. The current photograph will remain posted until then as it adequately identifies Adam Sessler. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 06:42, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

As of 1/21/2007, the photo has been updated, but, its really doesnt look like him. Perhaps a picture of him when he is not drunk and actually smiling. You should use the old one, or at least get a different one, perhaps at http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=Adam+Sessler , or http://images.google.com/images?q=Adam+Sessler&svnum=10&hl=en&lr=&start=18&sa=N&ndsp=18 .
Religious affiliation
[edit]Not sure if this is relevant or not, but on the birthday episode it's mentioned he is jewish, and i was just looking for a confirm, also wondered whether or not it might be useful for the article
Adam Sessler has said he is an Agnostic.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.56.112.12 (talk) 18:13, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
Birthplace?
[edit]Was he really born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin? I thought all this time he was born in Berkeley, California. Where does it prove that he was born in Wisconsin? 71.249.233.190 13:53, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
Because I was a fan of X-play, as I recall in 2005 Adam said he was from Hope, Arkansas. This was particularly interesting to me because I worked for the telephone company at that time, and Hope was in one of our territories. 66.203.235.123 (talk) 09:14, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
Brush Debilitation
[edit]Took out the part about him supposidly almost losing his hand until it they find a refrence. u
Non-visible changes
[edit]I added a infobox and a new image of Adam Sessler, but it seems I can only see my changes reflected when I'm logged on. I would like this info I put to appear to the visitors. Thanks for your attention. Punkalicious 00:14, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- If you don't see the page updated after an edit, append ?action=purge to the article URL. Also, please read over Wikipedia fair use criteria before uploading screencaps from copyrighted sources. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 22:12, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- I've read over WP:FAC and has a nice little subjective portion, "[Replace] with a freer alternative if one of acceptable quality is available." Makes the policy pretty much useless, IMHO, since they don't bother defining "acceptable quality." Of course, that's something I need to bring up over there. Anyways, most television characters use screenshots, so I could see how a person could make a mistake.

Is Adam's Occupation Correct?
[edit]I thought Sessler is the host, not co-host. ~~esivo~~
Married?
[edit]Has anyone found an evidences that Adam is married and/or who his wife maybe? Because when I watched X-Play, I saw a ring on the finger you normally put your wedding ring on. I am wondering if anyone found anything about this, because this information seems to be needed on the page?
- Isn't he married to Morgan Webb? Isn't Rob Reid just one of Adam's aliases anyway? Seems pretty convenient. You can't get mad at me for saying this stuff because this is in the discussion section and not the actual article. JoeMonkeyPotato (talk) 02:08, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
maried to morgan webb? 69.220.1.137 (talk) 02:04, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
::No, he is not Rob Reid. Just Google Rob Reid, and you can see pictures of him, and it is pretty obvious they are not the same person. Plus, to my knowlege, Sessler wasn't involved in the creation of Rhapsody. MaximumMadnessStixon (talk) 04:13, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
Height
[edit]Where was the listing of his height found? Adam is nowhere near six feet tall. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/unclethursday/100_1005.jpg is a picture of me and Adam. I'm only 6'2" and Adam is at least 4-6 inches sorter than me. UncleThursday (talk) 18:42, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
I've ran into Adam on more then one occassion... He is about 5'9". I think the height comes from the IMDB page. Rule of thumb, actors/onscreen personalities under 6' always enter 6'. Ga1lyons (talk) 15:54, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Notability

- You may want to initiate an WP:AFD then. I do not think there will be consensus though. -- JHunterJ (talk) 12:40, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Controversy
[edit]I think there has to be something to address his stance on the Frosk rant and his own lashing out on social media. Its not simply a clash of opinion, after the g4 revival shut down he implies that his gaming career is a sham and has been grfting off it for years as if he was flipping everyone off as he rode off into the su set. Not to mention the politicized hostility, disowning family that voted republican on social media. I think its note worthy enough in that I don't see his public career ever really coming back from it. 216.176.0.10 (talk) 07:59, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
