I propose splitting this article into Cry of Dolores (the historical event) and Mexican Independence Day (the yearly event). I think that separating these would be good for getting both topics out of start class anyhow, and I'm honestly surprised this hasn't happened already for a country as big and populous as Mexico. Most countries have different articles for both with a few definite exceptions, but this one shouldn't be one of those in my opinion. Departure– (talk) 15:41, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
