Am I correct that this is the same publication that Corneliu Vadim Tudor edited during the 1970s? The article on Tudor says he edited România Liberă, but calls it a "magazine". I am wondering if this is an error in the article on Tudor, or if there was a weekly magazine as part of the newspaper or what?
Also, I'd expect that there is a good story (which I don't know) about the transition of România Liberă at the end of the Communist era. -- Jmabel 02:47, Oct 9, 2004 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Romania libera front page.png
[edit]Image:Romania libera front page.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Inconsistency in dates?
[edit]Infobox says this paper was founded 1877, but the text says 1943. Why the inconsistency? 0x0077BE (talk) 19:01, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
- There was a newspaper with this name founded in 1877 that died by 1890. The current newspaper has no connection with it, being the direct successor of a WW2 underground paper that for over 50 years never claimed the history of the 1877-1890 instance... In recent years the newspaper's marketing strategists decided to appropriate also that part of history (mainly because the actual origins don't fit the current editorial position). This decision was also enforced on Wikipedia by SPI Ruxxia (talk · contribs). I am going to repair the article in order to make it compatible with verifiable historical facts.Anonimu (talk) 19:21, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
